In Loving Memory of Mike Klimek

Mike Klimek spent his life in service to others — from his early days working for the Lassen National Forest as Hotshot to his recent role as Fire Management Officer for Lassen Volcanic National Park, along with his deep commitment to coaching youth sports around Chester. He was a larger-than-life presence, known for his dedication, leadership, and the deep impact he made on his community and crew.

Mike is survived by his wife, Camie, and their two sons, Grady and Lucas, who are now navigating life without their dad far too soon. This GoFundMe is to help support them with funeral expenses, travel, and transitional needs as they grieve and begin to heal.

A bit about me: I’m Mike’s brother-in-law — my wife Katie and Camie are sisters. Mike’s sudden passing has left a hole in all of our lives, and I already miss him dearly. I’m organizing this fundraiser in the same spirit Mike always showed others: with strength, care, and heart.
