When the unimaginable happens, a community comes together. Help us support Phil Lubke and his girls with strength, care, and love.
We are heartbroken to share that Liz Lubke passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her husband, Phil, and their three daughters, Adelaide, Cece, and Jojo. In the face of this loss, our community has an opportunity to come together to surround Phil and the girls with love, strength, and support in the days and months ahead.
Liz was the heart behind E.L. Pilates in downtown Eau Claire, where her mission was simple but powerful: to help people move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain. She met people exactly where they were, whether recovering from injury, navigating chronic pain, or building strength. She didn’t just teach Pilates; she changed how people experienced their bodies and their lives.
Liz was also an incredible mother and a devoted caregiver. She was an active member of Longfellow Elementary’s PTO and a passionate advocate for the school’s dual immersion Spanish language program, always championing opportunities for her girls to learn, grow, and experience the world more fully. At home, she filled their lives with warmth and creativity through her love of dance and reading, and the care she poured into every meal and baked treat. Liz created a home that was nurturing, joyful, and full of intention, and that love is a lasting gift her children will carry with them always.
This fundraiser is an opportunity for all of us who were impacted by Liz, or who believe in the kind of care she gave so freely, to now show up for her family. Your support will help ease the burden of unexpected medical expenses, provide stability for the days ahead, and create enriching opportunities for the girls as they grow. Liz built a community rooted in strength, compassion, and resilience. Now, we have the chance to reflect that back, to stand alongside Phil and the girls with that same unwavering care.
