Immediate relief post loss of loved mother

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and immense sadness after the tragic loss of my partner Daniel’s mother, Debbie, in a car crash last Thursday. Debbie’s car was hit after a driver failed to give way before entering a main highway and the consequences of their actions have left us reeling with pain and disbelief.
After having friends reach out and suggesting this to us and then speaking with the church, we have decided to go ahead with this fundraiser.

Debbie was a beautiful, fun-loving soul who was loved deeply by everyone in her life. She had been working hard to support the community and house international workers, and her loss has left a gaping hole in not only our lives but the people she has helped and showed her love to. Her kindness and love knew no bounds, and we will cherish the memories we have with her forever.

Daniel is struggling with the sudden and devastating loss of his mother. As the next of kin, he is dealing with the aftermath of her death. Due to the currently immeasurable time it will take for him to attend to his mother's life and her affairs that had been tragically taken away and the trauma and grief he is experiencing, he is unable to work. Daniel is hardworking and proudly recently self-employed but unfortunately has no income protection being in this position, he is beginning to face financial constraints in affording necessities, and he is uncertain when he will be able to return to work. The immense pain and heartbreak of this loss may have Daniel off work for at least a few months while he works through all the parts that follow the loss of his loving mother. We are reaching out to the community for support while we are facing a lot of immediate expenses such as but not limited to travel costs including flights to visit Daniels family. We are grateful for any contribution, no matter how small, that will help us through this trying time.

We are having to make a three-hour drive each time we visit Daniel’s mother's house, to ensure that we can keep it safe and give it the TLC it deserves in her memory. It's important to us to start clearing out her belongings and to create the home she always wanted. An example of this was that she was halfway through re-doing her carpet and other things but the financial strain of these trips is taking a toll on us. On top of this, Debbie was a big animal lover, we know she would not want her cats rehomed, but to be taken into the loving home of her own son and myself where we have adopted these beautiful babies as our own, Debbie had sent us photos before she passed specifically to show me how beautiful her cats were knowing I too am an animal lover.

We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support we have received thus far, and we hope that our story will continue to resonate with others. If you are unable to donate, we would still appreciate your help in spreading the word. Sharing our story with your friends and family would mean the world to us.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are forever grateful for any help that you can provide.
