I am in need of a liver transplant, called NASH

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Paul in September 2020 I collapsed at work, and after 3 different hospitals I got to Johns Hopkins here in Baltimore and was diagnosed with NASH, my liver cirrhosis was not caused by drinking, yes have I drank in my life but this is not caused by some social drinking I've done in my life. Liver cirrhosis causes me to have Ascites which is when the fluid that leaks from your liver sits in your abdomen and turns to ammonia which causes you to black out and fall. It also causes the bilirubins in your brain to malfunction and you function as normal but have no idea what you are doing and you do not remember anything, this is why I stay housebound and have someone watching over me all the time. I no longer drive due to this as well. This illness caused me to lose 58 pounds during the first 45 days. The muscle atrophy in my knees makes it very hard to walk or stand without help. To combat the Ascites I have to have my abdomen drained regularly. I have not worked since my collapse at work in 2020 and have been given 6 months to 24 months to live after my last workup in November if I do not receive a transplant, I do not have a living donor, I am on the transplant list, but all I can do is just wait and pray it happens before my time runs out. I am 56, I have 2 sons, I have always worked hard never filed unemployment or asked the system for anything, I do not come from money, and my mother gets by with SSI retirement and doesn't have the means to help me. I have never asked for help in my life and don't know where to turn. I am awaiting approval from SSDI I applied 12 months ago, which if approved will help out a lot but this process seems to take forever. I ask for this amount because this is what I owe now, I will explain just to be transparent, I had a great job and had Blue cross and blue shield, my company offered 10 weeks of short-term disability and long-term, but after the 10 weeks they and most companies terminate you, so in December I lost my job and great insurence. The money I owe is the 4 months I went without health insurance and until I received Medicaid. Just my first hospital stay at Northwest in Pikesville was 12,500. The rest of the money is to Johns Hopkins which is still treating me. I do have Medicaid now so the money I owe is not going to increase. They tell you not to have stress in your life but now all I get is 5 plus calls a day from bill collectors. It is so hard when you are sick and housebound and all day bill collectors call you wanting money you don't have, and I feel bad cause these bills are medical attention I needed and have received, I just don't know what to do, I want to live and receive my transplant, I have talked to all the bill collectors and they will work with you to lower the amounts once you have money to offer them. If my bills are lowered and its less money than what it is now I will Donate it to a liver charity that works with John Hopkins. I do not want to file bankruptcy or have anyone that could co-sign for a loan and I feel responsible for the money I owe and want to pay the people that are keeping me alive, so if any kind soul could help me any amount I would appreciate it so much. I want to use this money to pay these medical bills and pay for the 5 medicines I take at this time, I have been only taking my medicine every other day to make it last longer I realize that's not smart but it's what I have to do. I am having my mother help to pay the bills if I do receive any money and will keep everything I pay posted and updated on this post. Any amount will help me and go a long way, I do get on the computer and can share any info you want to know about me, This is my last hope, I am and always have been religious in my own personal way and just praying someone will reach out and help me. Thank you for just reading this, or saying a prayer for me
