For those who know Charlotte & I Huck is our entire universe. Here is his story:
Huck was a member of a hoarding house situation with 76 other cats. He is not an outdoor cat. He is strictly indoor.

We fell in love with him during the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Charlotte had developed anxiety & ocd. We visited him weekly at The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe where we met two angels who have become apart of our village Ryan and Melanie. They are the best people you’ll ever meet. 5/10/2020 was the best day of our lives. We were able take the love of our life home.
Huck had a partial mouth extraction on 5/2020 & 7/2020 Eventually Huck had a full mouth extraction on 10/23/2020 due to stomatitis and gingivitis issues.
Huck lives with myself and my daughter Charlotte (age 12). He is eventually going to be registered as an emotional support animal for Charlotte due to her High Functioning Autism, Anxiety and other issues. He has a pretty regimented schedule. He is up at 6:30am and expects his breakfast. He eats from a slow bowl. He is a very simple cat. He enjoys looking out the window at birds, playing with ping pong balls, watching bird videos on youtube and long naps with us. He occasionally does receive Temptation treats (Green bag) before bedtime. He does sleep with me.
But his health started to decline as of 4/30/2023:
Huck: I made friends with VT Toni & Dr. MacDonald at Ei AH in Islip. My sister packed my friends. They’re sick too.

Our beloved cat Huck is currently being hospitalized at VEG in Commack due to urinary blockage.
Huck: Leave me. Come back later.

Unfortunately, after being unblocked he has reblocked himself late last night. He’s going to need perineal urethrostomy surgery which is a surgical method for alleviating urethral obstruction in cats with complicated or recurrent obstructive feline lower urinary tract disease. VEG is recommending this procedure be completed by another hospital.
Update: Huck was transferred today to another hospital to have his Perineal Urethrostomy surgery.
Huck: Hey my mom is here! Where have you been?!?

He was in good spirits when he got to see me today.
Huck: Oh wait we’re not going home are we… so we drove listening to Taylor Swift for nothing? Mom… mom… where am I now?

5/3/2023 & 5/4/2023 Update: Hucks PU surgery went well. Yesterday the veterinarian even was able to palpate the area to get a little urine out. After the procedure they do put a catheter in to check the flow of the urine unfortunately the catheter would not go past a specific point. The doctor kept him over night and called me this morning to go over things. He did have urine in his box but he still can’t get the catheter through. This could he due to a vessel or inflammation. The next step is another type of procedure. The doctor is also recommending Dr. Tomas Infernuso who is one of the best veterinarians on Long Island.
I hope this helps and gives you all an idea of Huck. He is a very loving, kind, special cat. We love him with every fiber of our being.
We thank you in advance & send love to all. We are grateful.
