I’m raising funds on behalf of my cousin and her family — two parents and their two children. Early Monday morning, a devastating fire destroyed their home in Parsons, Kansas.
Miraculously, no one was seriously hurt other than losing two fur babies — but in the blaze, they lost everything. Their first house that they worked so hard to purchase only this last year is now uninhabitable. All of their belongings — clothing, furniture, toys, kitchen items — were destroyed or damaged beyond use.
With two children depending on them, the next few weeks will be rough. They need a safe place to stay, clothes and shoes (especially importantly for the kids), basics for everyday life (beds, kitchenware, bedding), and food while they figure out what’s next. Insurance and rebuilding (if possible) will take time — and kids don’t wait.
We’re trying to raise whatever we can to help cover:
Temporary housing / short-term rental for the family
Clothes, shoes, and essentials for kids and parents
Household basics (beds, bedding, kitchen items, toiletries)
Food and everyday necessities during displacement
If you can donate — thank you. If you can share, that helps just as much. Even a small gift makes a big difference. Every bit of support gives this family a chance to rebuild and keep their children safe and warm through this traumatic time, especially throughout the holidays. Thanks so much for taking the time to read.
