Hope in Action: Join Our Fight
Suicide doesn't announce itself. It doesn't only happen to people who seem to be struggling — it touches families, workplaces, schools, and communities that least expect it. The truth is, 1 in 5 Americans will experience a mental health crisis in their lifetime, and too many of them will face that moment alone, in silence, without knowing where to turn.
I've seen what happens when someone doesn't get the support they need in time. And I've also seen what happens when they do — when a hotline call, a support group, or a simple conversation with someone who understands makes all the difference. That's exactly what the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) makes possible every single day.
AFSP funds life-saving research, trains community members to recognize the warning signs, advocates for mental health policies that actually protect people, and supports survivors who are left behind after losing someone to suicide. They are on the front lines of one of the most urgent public health crises of our time.
That's why I'm asking for your help.
Every dollar you give goes directly toward saving lives. Your contribution funds research that leads to better treatments, education programs that break down the stigma that keeps people from asking for help, and support resources for those who are hurting right now.
You don't have to have been personally touched by suicide loss to care about this. All you need to know is that somewhere out there, someone is sitting in the dark, wondering if anyone cares. Together, we can make sure the answer is always yes.
Please donate today — and if you can, share this campaign with your own network. Even $10 can be the ripple that becomes a wave.
With hope and gratitude
