Kelci is a beloved member of our work family, and we've watched her face unimaginable challenges with incredible strength and grace. Her journey began in March 2025, when she started experiencing extreme fatigue, nausea, and vomiting. After many tests, Kelci was diagnosed with gastroparesis—a condition where her stomach muscles stopped working, making it impossible for her to eat or drink. As her condition progressed, a portion of her small intestines also stopped functioning, leaving her with very few options for treatment.

Despite having a feeding tube placed and undergoing a stimulator procedure in September, Kelci has not found relief. Her gastroparesis has advanced to what doctors call global dysmotility, and she is now dependent on TPN and lipids to stay alive. She has spent countless days and weeks in the hospital. Kelci is scheduled to see an expert at Froedtert, an out-of-network provider, in hopes of finding new options for her care. The costs for these appointments, treatments, and travel are extremely high, and Kelci has used all her paid time off.

Through it all, Kelci continues to work, care for her children, and support those around her. She never stops thinking of others, even on her hardest days.
