Dayana Delgado es una mujer venezolana que huyó de su país buscando protección y una oportunidad de vivir en paz. Actualmente se encuentra detenida por ICE luego de presentarse voluntariamente a su cita migratoria, cumpliendo con el proceso legal mientras solicita asilo político en Estados Unidos.

Dayana no fue arrestada por cometer ningún delito. Fue detenida al presentarse como se le indicó, confiando en que podría explicar su caso y ejercer su derecho a solicitar asilo. Hoy enfrenta un proceso legal complejo que requiere representación adecuada para poder defenderse y demostrar las razones que la obligaron a huir de su país.

Los costos legales en este tipo de casos son muy altos, y su familia no cuenta con los recursos necesarios para cubrir honorarios de abogados, trámites y otros gastos esenciales.

Por eso hemos creado esta campaña.

Dayana Delgado is a Venezuelan woman who fled her country seeking protection and an opportunity to live in peace. She is currently detained by ICE after volunteering for her immigration appointment, complying with the legal process while applying for political asylum in the United States.

Dayana was not arrested for committing any crime. She was arrested when she presented herself as instructed, trusting that she could explain her case and exercise her right to request asylum. Today she faces a complex legal process that requires adequate representation to be able to defend herself and demonstrate the reasons that forced her to flee her country.

The legal costs in this type of case are very high, and his family does not have the necessary resources to cover attorney's fees, paperwork and other essential expenses.
