Update- We have some incredible news: My dad has been officially approved for the prestigious Shirley Ryan Ability Lab! He will be entering their Amicus program followed by intensive inpatient rehabilitation. This is a massive answer to prayer and the exact place he needs to be to fight his way back.
But as we enter this next phase, the mountain ahead of us has grown.
With my dad no longer receiving an income, and my mom stepping away from work completely unpaid for the next 10+ weeks to be his full-time advocate and push him through therapy, our family is facing a reality of zero incoming revenue. Between the daily toll roads, gas, car maintenance to get to rehab, and unexpected hurdles with my brother’s college tuition benefits not being honored after my dad's accident, the financial strain is compounding fast.
My dad has spent his life serving our community as a coach, teacher, and mentor. Now, we are doing everything we can to support him. We want to ensure my mom can stay by his side without the crushing weight of wondering how we will cover travel and basic costs.
If you are able to donate, every dollar directly helps ease this burden so we can focus entirely on his recovery. If you can’t, please consider sharing this link and keeping Coach Foster in your prayers. We love and appreciate you all so much.
First story: My dad, Brian Foster, was recently involved in a serious accident with a semi-truck and suffered severe injuries. He is currently in a coma, has undergone major surgery, and still has a long road ahead.
As our family focuses on being by his side and supporting his recovery, we are facing unexpected expenses, lost income, and ongoing daily needs during this difficult time. My dad has impacted so many as a coach, teacher, mentor, husband, and father, and we appreciate every prayer, share, and donation.
Thank you for surrounding my dad, “Coach Foster”, and our family with love, prayers, and support during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. We are holding onto hope and taking things one day at a time. ❤️
