My name is Amelie Ybarra and I’m one of Lillie’s granddaughters-

Recently, Lillie ybarra has been diagnosed with a rare form a thyroid cancer than had eventually spread throughout her body and blood. Lillie has always been a strong person with her ongoing battles with her health. She is cherished as a mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother whose love has affected generations. From making tamales on Christmas, family gatherings at her house, quick trips to denios on Sundays, or simply her target runs. Lillie will always be the light of family, and we have cherished every second we got with her while she was on hospice care as we prepared to say goodbye.

This morning February 28, 2026 Lillie Ybarra passed away. Although it was a long battle with endless treatments, every step of the way she was surrounded by her village and loved ones by her side. As we navigate through this painful loss, we want to honor Lillies life and legacy in the most loving way possible and give her the services she’s needed. The funds raised throughout this campaign will go directly towards covering her funeral expenses, cremation services, and a celebration of life.

Our goal is to give Lillie a beautiful, loving, peaceful, dignified farewell she deserves, surrounded by the love from her family, friends, and community.
