Celebrating the Life and Love of Carlos Simbulas

Donation protected
On 12/31/24 we said goodbye to our loved Lolo. Carlos was a father, grandfather, uncle, and beloved person to those that knew him. My Lolo lived a hardworking life bringing his family from the Philippines to the U.S. in the early 90’s where he never stopped working to provide for his family here and back home in the Philippines.

Growing up our Lolo was our biggest supporter. His love for his grandchildren knew no bound. Lolo would always go out his way to make sure that we were taken care of and had the best supplies in order for us to be the best versions of ourselves. Even after retirement, my Lolo would still give what he could without any hesitation because he never wanted us to be without.

As he aged his health was always his biggest challenge. Every-time he would be in and out the hospital, he would be up and around back to normal because he could never stay put. What we viewed as stubbornness he saw as resilience. Sneaking out everyday to run his errands, which consisted of grabbing breakfast from McDonald’s and shopping at Ross to take full advantage of their senior discount. My Lolo did not want to stay stagnant even if his body limited him to be. Up until his final day with us he was singing Frank Sinatra and spending quality time with his grandchildren looking forward to ringing in the New Year.

His sudden passing has affected our family in a multitude of ways as we did not expect for this to come so soon. My family is asking for your kindness and gratitude in this time of need as we prepare to lay him to rest. The funds raised here will directly support Carlos’s funeral services. We will be holding a viewing January 19th and the funeral service will be held the following day January 20th at Cypress Lawn in the Tiffany Chapel (1370 El Camino Real South San Francisco CA 94080) If you are interested in attending or donating please contact myself or my mother, Recah for any questions. Any donations of any amount will contribute greatly to his service to ensure that he will have the send off he deserves. My family and I are eternally grateful for your prayers and blessings during this time.
