Honoring Julian's Legacy: Help His Family
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Jeff Mullens and I am beseeching your pledge on behalf of the family of Julian Baptiste-Cottrell. I want us to properly send our love and honor as a unified support system for them in this troubling time.
Julian was like a little brother to me, and he will be forever missed by many. No parent should know the pain of having to say goodbye to their child, and with the extreme costs of a loved one's farewell- it does not make it any easier. I ask that you all look into your own hearts for the kind of dedication and love Jules shared with others.
Jules' family; Father 'Fletcher', Mother 'Lorraine', Sister 'Alicia', Nieces 'Maya' and 'Jasmine', and Partner, 'Samantha' and Daughter 'Kailani', would like for everyone to remember his smile and to keep the light of Julian Baptiste-Cottrell alive.
Jules was a romantic, handy with technology, and also enjoyed escapes into nature. He always strived to be the best he could at whatever he did. His character was one of intention and integrity. He took pride in his work, where he was a deeply loved employee and manager, considered “one of the family."
He loved and understood his dog companian, Jaska. He especially stepped up when it came to supporting his partner, Samantha, and being an awesome father-figure to her 12 year old daughter, Kailani, as her own father had passed away when she was 4.
He was able to join them on some amazing adventures in the past couple years, and experienced true love.
Jules' touch will be missed in all aspects.
He was a one-of-a-kind soul, and he would do everything he could for the people he loved. Jules grew up in Brown's point area as an artist, musician, songwriter, and enthusiast of life.
Jules was French Canadian, Mètis, and Portuguese on his mother, Lorraine Baptiste's side. His father, Fletcher Cottrell, is African-American and Cherokee descent. He was a miracle baby, brought into this world on September 2, 1993 and his light was dimmed under tragic circumstances on May 9, 2024.
If you could be so kind as to bestow love and grace to his family, as they request your assistance with the heartbreaking process of saying goodbye to this amazing light we no longer have with us. Unfortunately, due to the unutterable circumstances of Julian's passing there have been some staggering additional costs involving mental health treatment for the family, and re-establishing his partner and daughter's housing situation.
We love you, Julian, and will honor you as you have honored all of us. The love and commitment that you shared with us- we will continue to share and honor you in a loving and robust way!
Forever in our hearts and minds, Son, Brother, Uncle, Partner, Father Figure, and Friend... if you were a friend of Jules, he considered you part of his family too.
