Our family is heartbroken to share that Erasmo Flores Jr., 50 years old, passed away suddenly from a heart attack in Florida. Erasmo was doing what he loved—working hard as a truck driver—when God called him home. His passing has left our family devastated and unprepared for the financial burden that comes with medical bills and the expense of bringing him back to his hometown of Harlingen, Texas, where his family is waiting to lay him to rest.

Erasmo was the definition of a hardworking man. Since the age of 16, he dedicated his life to providing for his loved ones. He worked long hours in restaurants to support his mother and sister, and from those years he developed a lifelong passion for cooking—he truly was the best cook we knew. Later, he found his calling on the road. He absolutely loved truck driving, traveling, and discovering new places (and food along the way).

He was the best son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather — a man who showed his love through sacrifice, loyalty, and endless hard work. No matter how tough life became, Erasmo always put his family first. He sacrificed his time, his comfort, and even his health so that his wife and children could have a better life. He was the kind of man who never complained—he just worked, gave, and loved with everything he had.

Our family is now asking for help during this unexpected and painful time.
