It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Benji, who lost his life to stage 4 brain cancer (glioblastoma) at just 22 years old.

Benji was diagnosed on March 28 with an extremely aggressive form of cancer. From the beginning, the odds were slim, and there were no real studies or proven treatments for the specific type he had. Even with everything stacked against him, Benji chose to fight. He wanted to show how brave and strong he was, and that he could face anything put in front of him.

Benji passed away on Christmas Day, surrounded by his loved ones who supported him until the very end. Even though he didn’t want help and preferred to carry things on his own, his family never left his side. He fought with courage, pride, and heart until his final moments.

Benji grew up without his parents in his life, but he never let that define him. He was determined to be someone and something in this world. At just 16 years old, Benji got his first job and began working toward his goals. At one point, he worked two jobs at the same time to save for his dream car. Whether that meant walking to work or riding his scooter, Benji made sure he showed up and earned everything himself. He was driven, hardworking, and proud of what he accomplished.

Despite the challenges he faced, Benji was chill, funny, fierce, and deeply loving. He had a crazy, wild sense of humor that made people laugh and feel comfortable just being around him.

One of the truest reflections of Benji’s heart was the love he had for his grandparents. After his grandfather passed, Benji helped care for his grandma. Even if it was only a 10-minute visit, he always made sure she was fed, safe, and taken care of. He loved his grandparents endlessly and would do anything for them.

We are asking for help to raise $10,000 to cover funeral and memorial expenses so we can put Benji to rest with the dignity, peace, and love he deserves. All funds raised will go directly toward honoring his life and laying him to rest.
