Our father, Edward “Mason” Smith, is currently in critical condition and will be taken off life support in a matter of days. As we prepare for the heartbreaking reality of his passing, we want to honor his life the way he lived it — with dignity, love, and community.
Mason was a long-haul truck driver and a dedicated volunteer with Wreaths Across America. He took pride in serving others, whether it was honoring fallen veterans, supporting his fellow truckers, or sharing laughter with anyone who crossed his path. He was a man of deep faith and a committed Methodist Christian who believed in leaving people better than he found them.
He leaves behind three daughters — Acadia, Jessica, and Chloe — who are now faced with the emotional and financial responsibility of arranging his final goodbye.
We are planning a memorial service, followed by a barbecue dinner in his honor — something simple, warm, and true to who he was. Unfortunately, much of his financial information is inaccessible, and we’re navigating these expenses while grieving deeply.
We are seeking help to cover:
• Memorial service costs
• Venue and catered barbecue meal for friends and family
• Transportation and final arrangements
If you are able to contribute, please know how much it means to us. If you cannot give, sharing this fundraiser would also help us tremendously. Every kind gesture, large or small, brings us closer to giving our Dad the farewell he deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Acadia and Jessica
