Almost fifty years ago, Lee Pinney founded the Somers Lacrosse program with his own time, money, and dedication. For generations of young athletes, Coach Pinney was far more than the founder of a league. He was a positive force during their formative years, giving generously of himself to guide, encourage, and teach countless players.

Through lacrosse, Lee instilled discipline, teamwork, respect, perseverance, and the confidence to meet life’s challenges. His leadership helped shape character, and his influence continues to live on in the many people he coached and mentored over the years.

Now, as Lee is in his mid-80s, this fundraiser has been created to honor him while there is still time. Donations will go toward creating a monument and bronze plaque in Lee’s honor as a lasting tribute to his selfless dedication, mentorship, and the impact he made on so many lives.
