Hi, my name is Shay, and I have created this page to ask for your help. As most Mainer's know, we were hit with a brutal storm in December that caused significant flooding, wind, power outages, and damages. We were shocked and heartbroken to learn that my parents house (my childhood home) was destroyed from several fallen pines. Unfortunately, homeowner's insurance hasn't been willing to help in any capacity, so for my parents, this has been a total loss. I am asking for any support you would be willing to offer during this difficult time. I know times are tough for everyone right now, but any little bit helps and we are so appreciative of your kindness and consideration.

At this time, my parents are safe and living with me and my family. This is of course not a long-term plan, and they so deserve a place of their own. Right now, they have no options, and they are completely burdened by the mess that has been left - both physically and emotionally. We have been fortunate enough to gift them a piece of our land for a fresh start (in time for their retirement), but the cost of building a new home is overwhelming.

Are you able to help?

Monetary donations (here or via venmo: Shaenen-Gilpatrick

Offering of services - tree removal, home demolition/cleanup, supplies/labor for small stick-built home, etc

With so much gratitude, we thank you!
