Karen Niblock has been diagnosed with Fibrotic Nonspecific Interstitial Pneumonia (NSIP), for which she needs a double lung transplant. In February 2019, Niblock will meet with the lead transplant surgeon at the University of Iowa Hospital to receive an LAS score and be listed as a candidate through UNOS. Costs anticipated after meeting with the transplant team are expected to exceed $17,000. We are looking to give Karen and her family a small amount of comfort during this difficult time by helping her move forward financially. Karen is a middle school teacher, and the high school drama director at Nevada Community Schools. She has impacted hundreds of children's lives and helped them set up careers and lives. We want to do something to give back just a small about of what she has given to her community, students, and family.

We are hoping to be well on our way to $17,000 by the end of February so the surgeon team can be confident funds will be available to cover the first round of expenses.
