Cancer Treatments
Well, I should start at the beginning. My wife, Kathy Gibbs, and I have been married for 23 years. We live in Daphne, Alabama and have 3 children. Kathy works for Tameron Honda as a Billing Clerk in the office. About a year ago, Kathy started having terrible and sometimes debilitating stomach pain. We went to a stomach doctor and tried various nausea and pain medications for the duration. This doctor did an endoscopy, where they put a camera down your throat and into the stomach to see what was going on. The procedure came back Clear with no signs of what was causing her this misery. This doctor said that it looked like there was no indication of any problem that would cause this pain? I decided that we needed to find another doctor and get a second opinion. After another 3 months with the new doctor, we were convinced it was her gall bladder and we scheduled to have it removed. After the procedure was done, the surgeon said that Kathy's gall bladder was fine. However, she found the cause of this tormenting pain. The surgeon said that Kathy had Cancer. The Cancer was identified as Metastic Adenocarcinoma. This Cancer was located on the top of her ovaries, small intestine, abdominal wall and around the liver, but not on the liver. The diagnosis is Stage 4 Gastric Cancer.
I work on the road with the UA 669 Sprinkler Fitters. Since the diagnosis, I have been off from work to pick up the slack as Chemotherapy and treatment are in process. Now that the money that I've saved last year is gone and it's impossible to be in two places at once, I'm forced to leave for work since the money's gone. It's ironic how all my life I've Tithed at our church and donated to charity. I have never asked for charity or help in the past, except what God Blessed us with. Now, I find myself in the position of great need, financially and prayerfully. So I'm putting my pride in the trunk and I am asking for any help that can help turn this around. If you can't donate, that's ok. Prayers are greatly needed as well, and they don't cost a penny! With much love and humility, I thank you for taking the time to read about our opportunity to make this miracle happen.
