Helping Joaco
Donation protected
Joaco is currently earning his MBA at Indiana Institute of Technology. He is also the assistant coach for the Men’s Varsity Tennis team after playing himself for four years. Joaco is extremely positive and shares that contagious energ
y with the people around him. He enjoys working out and living a healthy lifestyle. Joaco is the type of person that is always there for his friends and family.
The Story:
About three weeks, Joaco was urgently asked to help his roommates put out a grease fire (from cooking) with flames reaching three feet high. He instantly grabbed the pot in attempt to save the house and protect his roommates. Wh
ile running outside, the boiling grease splashed out from the pot burning his right arm and leg.
Immediately, Joaco was driven to the hospital and was told he had a second degree burn on his right arm and a third degree burn on his right leg.
Joaco stayed in the hospital for a few days while his burns were scrapped, cleaned, and bandaged. He was on morphine because the pain was so high. He was then released to go home to rest; however, he immediately returned because of an infection on his foot.
The doctors told Joaco that he would need a skin graft surgery in order to repair his foot. They sliced a piece of healthy skin from his right thigh and stapled it to his foot in attempt to produce new skin growth. Again, Joaco was in extreme pain after surgery and was given a morphine button to press as much as he needed to tone down the torture.
Joaco was finally released to come home after three weeks in the hospital.
The Expense:
The house Joaco and his roommates rent has no fire alarms no insurance.
The medical bill for one night in the hospital is expensive; three weeks is insane. This gofundme account is to help Joaco pay off this never-ending expense. Please help us help Joaco!!
