Helping the O'Brien Family

We set up this go fund me page to support our dear friend and sorority sister, Christine O’Brien, and her family due to the very sudden loss of Christine’s husband on September 20, 2019. Michael Steven "Mickey" O'Brien of Westfield, New Jersey was born on Jan 3, 1957. They raised four beautiful children Sam, Kelly, Casey, and Tim. Mickey was also a wonderful grandfather, son and was deeply involved in his community as a Past Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus and Brother in the Protective Order of Elks. Mickey was also a proud leader in Boy Scouts of America, just last week seeing his son proudly accept his hard-earned Eagle Scout honor.

As friends and Theta Phi Alpha  sisters of Christine’s, we have created this collection to ask for any assistance that loved ones and friends are able to give (no deeply appreciated amount is too small) to help with funeral and family expenses at this difficult time, and will go directly to the family. If you wish to give directly to the family, please consider doing so.

The visitation will be on Sept. 24th from 5 to 9pm at Gray Funeral Home located at 318 East Broad St., Westfield, New Jersey and a funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Sept. 25th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 315 First Street, Westfield, New Jersey. Donations to this page will remain open through Oct . 15th.
