Helping out the residences of Birdsong Farm
Donation protected
Birdsong Farm is a beautiful property in Delhi, NY. In the warmer months, it is home to a community garden and farmers’ market. In the very early hours of 3/19/24, a fire destroyed one of the beautiful barns. In addition to holding equipment and workshop space, the barn had several loft apartments. At the time of the fire, SEVEN workers were residing at the farm. Thankfully, they were able to escape unharmed, but they lost all of their possessions. The owner of the property, Richard Lamson, is taking care of housing and the replacement of their immediate needs. In addition, the community has generously stepped up to provide them clothing, food, and other essentials. Many have asked for a means to donate to their recovery effort. These are sweet, quiet folks who are always willing to lend a hand to market vendors, gardeners, customers, and neighbors in need. Thank you so much for your outpouring of generosity! Hugo and his team/family are all very grateful.
