Help Yonca and her family - Earthquake Survivors

The most devastating earthquake that affected our good friend Yonca's immediate family, relatives, neighbors, and everyone she grew up with: "Gofund me to help Yonca"

The death toll from the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria has risen to nearly 21,000 with no end in sight. Aid is slowly starting to trickle in, but for many, it is too little and late

Our dearest friend Yonca, is in Turkey. All TV channels is talking about the city she was born and raised in, her home town Antioch, Antakya!

Every member of her entire family lived there, where the earthquake hit the worst.

Some of her first cousins, her only grandpa, and her aunts are finally found safely under debris of the buildings’ and they are alive if you call this tragedy being alive. They are all feeling deep down a survivor guilt and they are in shock, and traumatized due losing everything they have worked to build all through out their lives.

Situation in the earthquake regions of Turkey is devastating.

There is no electricity, gsm operators are limited, it is cold, the help is not reaching every part of the city, there are not enough tents, blankets, and people are only able to get some hot food recently...

Some of Yonca's family members are lost, still there is not any news from them, some of them survived the earthquake with major trauma,or broken bones, and some have survived it with minor injuries but they are not even happy to be alive! Especially, when their neighbors and friends are still under the collapsed buildings after 5 days of the earthquake!

We are a group of women who would like to support our dear friend Yonca and her family who live in Antakya Hatay.

Yonca has lived in Boston area for over 20 years and she was in Turkey to help her mom who had brain aneurysm and surgery recently when the 7.8 point strong earthquake hit their city.

Luckily, some of her family members were rescued, however, they are in severely bad living conditions.

We wish to support Yonca and her family as they become homeless with the devastating earthquake.

Yonca will distribute the raised money among her family members for housing, food, and other crucial reasons.

You all know Yonca, she has helped many in the past and she is loved and blessed with many friends and her friendship has always been very dear to many of us.

We are hoping to be a bandage to her wounds in these dark times of her life.
