As an 8th grade teacher, I see every day how hard my students work and how much they’ve grown this year. For many of them, this is their final chapter of middle school before moving on to high school—a moment that should be celebrated.
Unfortunately, due to district-wide budget cuts, all school field trips were canceled this year. This means our 8th grade class is the only grade that will not have the opportunity to take a field trip.
I want to change that for my students.
We are raising funds to send our 8th graders to Hershey Park so they can celebrate the end of middle school together and create memories that will last a lifetime.
The funds raised will help cover:
-Transportation buses to and from Hershey Park for all students
-Hershey Park admission tickets for each student
-A meal ticket for every student during the trip
-Any remaining funds will be saved to help support next year’s 8th grade field trip
These students deserve something special after all their hard work. Any contribution—big or small—will help make this trip possible. If we exceed our goal, any additional funds will go toward helping next year’s 8th grade class have the same opportunity. If we do not reach our goal, the funds raised will be used for a different event for students.
Thank you for helping give these students a safe, memorable, and well-deserved end-of-middle-school experience!
