Help with Mark's cancer treatment
Donation protected
For those that don’t know, on January 28th, my father, Mark Nunnery was taken to the hospital after having an unexpected stroke. After scans and testing, they discovered the stroke was hemorrhagic and resulted from a brain tumor that was growing at a rapid rate. On March 18th the tumor was surgically removed, and the doctor seemed optimistic. The next day, our world was turned upside down when the pathology report came back with a diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme, the most aggressive form of brain cancer that can't be fully cured through surgery alone.
Shortly after the surgery and diagnosis, he was started on daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Everything seemed to be going okay, but earlier this week he fell extremely ill and is now back in the hospital with a fever over 103, and no answers yet as to what is causing it. We are all very worried and hoping to get some answers as soon as possible.
As anyone could imagine, this has been an extremely stressful three months for my family, but we are determined to exhaust all options and stay positive. If radiation and chemotherapy treatments do not yield positive results, the next step will be a lot of travel for medical trials at MD Anderson Research Hospital in Houston, The Mayo Clinic, or one of the many other hospitals around the country that are trying to combat this cancer.
The hospital bills are already very overwhelming, and while asking for financial help and support is never easy, knowing what my parents are enduring isn’t any easier. Any contribution to my father's medical bills would be so greatly appreciated. More than anything, we just ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he takes on this difficult journey. Thank you so much.
