We flew out on 21/07/26 to palma, majorca and stayed at club mac in alcudia, 26/07/26 we got picked to go to palma airport to fly to Manchester, when we got to the counter to check in luggage they said they would have to check with the immigration at Manchester airport if we could fly as harlow didnt have a British passport, this has never been and issue but rules changed earlier on this year in February that I did not know about, I have had no emails or correspondence regarding anything changing with dual nationality or having to have a British passport to re ender the uk, I was not informed leaving Manchester on a RETURN flight that she would need a British passport to return. Harlow takes on my nationality and has a Dutch passport, but automatically gained British citizenship as she was born when I had settlement in the uk,so we were left stranded at the airport with no solution no one knew what we could do other than get a hotel costing over £400 until monday to go to the British embassy/consulate in palma centre, I spoke with commonwealth and the embassy emergency helpline they advised to apply for ETA which I cannot do as we LIVE in the uk, we do not qualify for ETD as no one has died or seriously ill, we went to the consulate today (29/06/2026) as advised but the door was kept shut with a phone to speak to someone which just told me to go online and have to post documents when I dont know where I am im in an unfamiliar area l, theres a sign on the door saying here to help british but they are leaving me with no solutions so that i can get my 2 year old daughter back to britain where she was born and lives, we are extremely distressed and i am mentally struggling, as well as financially after friday 03/07/2026 I will not have any funds to pay for accommodation and all family I have to help have provided some help but there finances are also now exhausted, which will leave me and my 2 year old daughter out on the street in an unsafe country and no money to pay for any supplies or needs, the process time for harlows passport is 6 weeks, I will end up loosing my home and job as I have no funds due to having to pay thousands to live over here because BRITAIN are not letting a 2 YEAR OLD BRITISH CITIZEN INTO HER OWN COUNTRY!
