My name is Wisty Heart, and I am asking for support while I move through a major life transition and try to find a safe, stable place to call home. In July, I left Miami after realizing it was not home for me and after some deeply harmful experiences there. Before that, I had lived in Boston for 9 years, and this past summer I found myself at a crossroads. I packed everything I could carry and fit onto my 150cc scooter: a suitcase, a backpack, a small lunchbox, and the scooter itself. Then I started riding north on local coastal roads, using the journey to recover, reflect, and listen for where I am meant to land. This has not just been an adventure. It has been my real, ongoing search for home. I made my way up through the coast and all the way to Boston, and now I am heading back south to explore North Carolina as a possible home base.
I am sharing this honestly because I believe in being real about where I am. I currently do not have a permanent home, and with my undiagnosed AuDHD and no stable address, finding work that fits my needs has been incredibly difficult. My savings have now run out, even in my attempts to live as base and minimal as possible. I have offered Reiki, tarot, and movement sessions on the side, and I am hoping to continue building that online while I search for steadier income, housing, and the foundation for a more sustainable life. Donations will help me cover basic needs during this transition, including safe temporary lodging, food, gas and travel costs, phone service, and other essentials as I travel to and through North Carolina. I am not asking for sympathy. I am asking for help getting through this transition safely and with dignity while I do the hard work of building what comes next. If you are able to give, share, or send encouragement, it would mean so much to me. Every bit of support helps me get closer to stability, safety, and a place I can finally call home.
Every dollar of this goal goes toward:
⛽ Gas — filling up every 25-30 miles on local roads with luggage
️ Safe lodging — I stay with friends whenever possible, but some nights require a safe roof like a motel
️ Food — it would be easier if I wasn't human and didn't have to eat... but alas I do need food to survive and thrive as a human being
Scooter maintenance — at 15,000+ miles she needs regular care like oil change to keep going safely
Landing costs — first month’s expenses when I find the right place to call home in NC
