On December 6th, 2020 the owners of Why Not Cafe & Bar woke up the find their restaurant was lost to a fire over night. They are a small, locally owned business in Edmonton and, as we all know, this year has been especially hard for all small business. Why Not has been adapting and providing many options to their customers to still get their food out there, and this fire forced them close and stop any chance they had to continue making an income. 

Chef and owner, Levi Biddlecombe, is my older brother, and I'm starting this fundraiser to help him and his restaurant. My brother is so passionate about his food and the community he's been able to create with this restaurant, and I know anyone who has dined there has experienced this passion. Over the last 3 years Levi has used his restaurant as a venue to support as much local talent and artistry as possible. My brother is unbelievably passionate about Edmonton and values Edmonton locals above all else. I know he would be ecstatic about any support that he could receive from the community he loves so much. 

In the coming year the folks running this restaurant will have to make a lot of decisions and put in a ton of work to rebuild. Until then I am hopeful the community that has been able to enjoy the food, the restaurant, and its many events over the past 3 years might be able help support them. 

It's been a tough year for everyone, but every little bit will be truly valued.
