Several years ago, a small group of differently-abled people and some friends and family came together to create the WHEEL LIFE THEATRE TROUPE.

It was an opportunity for those with mobility challenges~ who use wheelchairs and crutches~ to make theater without boundaries and break through stereotypes that held them back from participating in the theatre.

WHEEL LIFE performed at the International Festival of Arts and Ideas.

WHEEL LIFE joined forces with more diverse actors from the disabled community and wrote Let’s Get Together to celebrate the ADA’s anniversary.

WHEEL LIFE performed Peter and Wendy with the world-famous Pilobolous dancers, allowing the strong dancers to “fly” our troupe to Neverland!

Previously under the umbrella of a generous theater company, WHEEL LIFE is poised to spread its wings and become its own entity.

~ providing transportation reimbursement to members for meetings, rehearsals and performances

~ renting wheelchair accessible rehearsal and performance spaces

~ hiring instructors and theater professionals to work with the WHEEL LIFE

~ creating and touring productions with the WHEEL LIFE Theatre Troupe

~ affording WHEEL LIFE tickets to attend theater workshops, productions and festivals

~ traveling to mobility-challenged communities to experience the theatre of WHEEL LIFE
