Hi everyone, my name is Maria Robles, and I created this GoFundMe for my dear co-worker Verlena Wilson. Verlena, or Miss V as we affectionally call her, suffered a terrible Mother's Day when her home caught fire that evening. Thankfully, she was able to escape to safety but needs our help and love to get back on her feet. Most of her possessions were a total loss due to the smoke and foam used to control the fire. At this time, Ms. V has only received a $200 voucher for clothing at Salvation Army. We are raising funds so she can furnish her home again and begin to find comfort. Ms. V is an incredibly kind, and loving person. She is a staple of hospitality and if you've ever visited New Orleans, you may have even met her.
