Hello friends, my name is Val. I’m a husband, father, grandfather of 15, Bible teacher, builder, mentor, and lifelong follower of Jesus Christ. I’ve been fighting prostate cancer since 2004, choosing natural treatments that have kept me healthy and functioning normally far longer than doctors expected. But now, I need your help.

I was first diagnosed with prostate cancer over 20 years ago. Inspired by my mother’s success with alternative therapy and having witnessed the harsh effects of conventional treatment in my father and uncle, I chose a natural path. In 2007, I traveled to a respected hospital in Mexico for alternative treatment. Their message was honest: while a cure was unlikely, disciplined treatment and a radical lifestyle change could allow me to live a full life. I did just that—returning to work, remarrying, and enjoying over a decade of meaningful life.

In 2023, after a new MRI, I learned the cancer had become active again and had metastasized to bone, nerve bundles, and lymph. I immediately resumed treatment, using several proven natural protocols. However, the financial burden has become overwhelming. I’ve been self-employed as a remodel contractor since 1994, but in February 2024, I had to stop working due to my health and the demands of treatment. I retired and started receiving Social Security, which cut my income by more than half. Medicare covers none of my natural treatments, which require significant ongoing expenses, with recommended additional therapy costing even more. These expenses are expected to continue through at least the first quarter of 2026.

Since starting treatment in July 2023, I have had to quit working and now we have exhausted all our financial reserves. My wife, Deirdre, has returned to work to help us stay afloat, and I now my contracting income is gone and I rely on Social Security. In February 2025, we suffered a devastating loss from a cryptocurrency wallet scam—money that was meant to pay off a large home equity loan taken on during this medical journey. The loss has made our situation even more difficult.

We are asking for support to help cover ongoing treatment through March 2026, recover from the crypto loss and reduce our home equity burden, and offer direct crypto contributions for those who prefer to give in kind. I also hope to complete the recording studio I started above my garage, which would allow me to launch two YouTube channels: one teaching Biblical faith, the other offering Constitutional analysis of current events. This studio sits unfinished, waiting for healing, strength, and finances.

At age 65, my vision for retirement was to travel with my family, especially my grandchildren, and to share my knowledge and faith with others. Your support gives me more than time; it gives me purpose. It helps me fight not just for life, but to leave a legacy rooted in truth, freedom, and faith.

A Word of Faith: I’ve never been one to ask for help—but I believe now is the time. Through every trial, God has been faithful. Even now, in this hardship, we feel blessed. As Job said: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” (Job 13:15) And as a song that speaks for my own experience declares: “All my life You have been faithful, all my life You have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.”
