It’s that time of year! Since 1988, The University of Texas' chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists has cultivated Black journalists, communications professionals and media specialists who went on to make an impact at companies such as CNN, NBCUniversal and PBS. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to cultivate talented, ethical communicators of all backgrounds.
We are once again requesting your support to send our members to the 2025 NABJ convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks to the support of over 40 people, we were able to send our six officers to the 2024 NABJ convention in Chicago despite reduced funding due to Senate Bill 17, the anti-DEI bill. There, our officers had the opportunity to learn and grow as journalists and leaders.
Please consider donating to our $6,000 fundraising goal at the link below. Any amount, even $4, the cost of a latte, helps.
Your donation would go toward:
✅Hotel costs
✅ Convention registration fees
✅ Plane tickets
Any money made over this amount will go back to our chapter to cover general club expenses (e.g., food at meetings, chapter registration fees and dues, etc.).
We truly appreciate your support.
