Hi, my name is Brooklyn. At approximately 6 am this morning (1/19/22), my father woke up to the smell of smoke and found that our home had caught on fire. Luckily, everyone was able to get out safely, including our pets. Augusta's fire department believes faulty wiring in the floorboards ignited the fire.

The fire was devastating and destroyed many of our possessions, including sentimental items that we will never be able to replace. This shocking news has caused us extreme fear for the future as we currently don't know if the house will be livable after this fire or how long it may take to repair. We're hoping to raise funds to help us get through this highly unexpected time.

Any proceeds from this fundraiser will go to finding housing accommodations for the immediate future, potential medical expenses for my father and pets, both of whom are suffering from at least mild to moderate amounts of smoke inhalation.
