Michael Taylor is an 18-year-old senior at PCCS. Michael has neurofibromatosis and has had health struggles his whole life but none like the one that was laid on him a week ago.
Approximately a month ago Michael had "pneumonia" and a collapsed lung. He was put into the hospital with a chest tube and antibiotics for more than a week. His first checkup showed an abscess in his lung. He has put on even more antibiotics. The next checkup had shown that it had grown to the size of a softball. He was again admitted to the hospital a chest tube was put in with hopes of draining the "abscess" to no avail. They went in surgically and found out it was not an abscess it was a sarcoma tumor. It was too big to remove so they took a sample and closed him up.
Now the wait...They wait for answers.
Is the cancer anywhere else? Where did it come from?
But let me tell you a little about Michael Taylor. He is such a friendly loyal kid. So easy to love him. A TRUE Gentle Giant. His family is awesome and so supportive. They are devastated. Friends feel helpless. But we all believe Michael Taylor's life is in God's hands and we are praying for a complete healing of all this cancer.
Bills are going to start pilling, Mom & Dad are losing work hours to be at the hospital with him. He will need things to be comfortable. Potential Travel expenses for a temporary stay location to Wake Forest for treatment.
Please, if you have it, give to the Taylors if you don't please join us in prayer.
