My wife and I, along with our two dogs, have been living in our car for the past seven months. After getting sick, losing our house and being out of work for two years, we lost almost everything we owned. The only things we have left are in a single storage unit. Over the last few years, we've faced setback after setback, but we're finally starting to get healthy again. I've been interviewing for jobs, and things are slowly beginning to look up for us.

Now, we're facing another urgent challenge. We have just three days to come up with the money to save our storage unit before it's auctioned off. Inside are our family photos and our pets ashes, our wedding photos and the few sentimental items we have left from our old life. Losing these would be devastating, especially after everything we've already endured. All funds raised will go directly to saving our storage unit and moving what we have left to a new place. If we receive any extra support, it will help us pay our car loan—which is also at risk of repossession, get car insurance and pay the registration. Since our car is our home, we can't afford to lose it. If we raise even more, we hope to get a room for a night or two, as we've been staying at roadside rest stops or campgrounds most of the time. I've been trying to find any gig work Craigslist and other websites but everyday we wake up and have to figure out where we're going to be sleeping tonight. if anybody needs help moving or anything this weekend please let me know.
