With a heavy heart, I share that my mother-in-law, Edita Guzon, has passed away on October 29, 2025, at Multicare Auburn Medical Center. Mom was surrounded by her sons Gendell and Geoffrey, her mother Julita, her siblings, her dearest friends, and family.

Our beloved mother was the kind of woman who made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She expressed her love through her cooking and sharing fresh squid and fish she caught herself from Des Moines Marina Pier in Washington. She especially loved visiting and FaceTiming her grandchildren, Karson and Amelia, every chance she got.

Her passing from cardiac arrest and anoxic brain injury was sudden and unexpected. While our hearts are grieving, we are also trying to give her the peaceful farewell she deserves in Hawaii, a place she always called home.

As we navigate this difficult time, we are asking for help to cover the funeral and memorial expenses. Any amount—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference.
