Help Us Celebrate Rhonda's Beautiful Spirit

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhonda Lemp Hughes. Rhonda was a loving and gentle soul. Her generosity expanded beyond her friends and family, and she loved to help any person and animal in need. The size of her heart was immeasurable and will never be forgotten. Her energy and smile infected everyone around her, with an incredible ability to light up any room. After many years battling countless hurdles with her health, she tragically left us on September 20th, 2024. Although we are still in shock from our huge loss, we want to encourage everyone who she impacted to remember her for all of the goodness she spread to the world. Whether it was through the countless animals she rescued, getting the opportunity to listen to her sing and dance to all of the most iconic music, watching the way she loved her husband and those closest to her, or even through some of the best meals you've ever eaten (Gumbo or her delicious crawfish etouffee, Mmm!); Rhonda made an incredible impact and she will be so deeply missed. Despite this, we can all breathe a little easier knowing she is in Heaven looking down on us, reunited with her daddy and some of her most precious babies Felix, Belle Belle, and Toonces.

This GoFundMe was created with the attempt to relieve the financial burden of her closest family as we all grieve a loss beyond comprehension. Despite her loving husband, Doug's, best efforts, the costs of her and her husband's medical treatments, medications, etc. were too overwhelming and no life insurance policy was in place. Any and all donations are appreciated beyond measure to help with the funeral expenses, burial, and providing a resting place for any and all to visit when you just want to stop by and talk to her.
