Hi there, we are The Refugee Archive, and it means a lot to us that you stopped by this page to hear about a project we are pouring our hearts into right now! We’re getting everything ready for our Art for Social Impact exhibition at the University of Lagos, and we’re putting out a call for a little community support to help us buy the last few materials we need to bring the room to life.

This show is about way more than putting REAL art on display. The young artists featured in this showcase are taking on raw, real issues affecting refugee single mothers; mental health, community struggles, justice, and holding onto hope in tough times.

When students and visitors walk through those doors, we want them to feel welcomed, stay awhile, and really connect with the stories being told. To pull that off, we need to print the physical artworks and takeaway postcards, set up clear signage around campus, and have simple food and drinks on hand to keep everyone refreshed and talking.

We’re building this from the ground up without big corporate backing, so every dollar goes straight into the physical setup:
