Help towards the ABPU British Championships

Hi, my name is Chay and I am fundraising for any donate however big or small to help me in my quest to become British Champion in my weight class in the powerlifting federation that I compete in which is the A/BPU

I suffer alot with anxiety and self doubt but I compete in powerlifting to help myself try and overcome the fear and doubt that is in my head. Doing this has given me some self-belief that I can do things when I put my mind to it and try my best to overcome adversity.

I have been competing in powerlifting since 2018 and then had an almost 2 year break due to the pandemic since 2020. I was able to compete on Saturday 30th April at a local qualifer where I hit the qualifying totals and this has given me a chance to go on and compete at the British Championships in Manchester on the 6th July this year.

The level that I compete at is all self funded so I have to try and find the funds to train, for memberships, travel, accommodation and entry fees which is not easy whilst also being the main source of income for my family.

Seeing my children's faces when they see that daddy has done well makes me want to do it even more to make them proud of me and also show them that you can try and be the best that you can be if you just try.
