Meet the Simons Family:

Hi, my name is Darren Simons. I'm a 42-year-old full-time product designer. In my spare time, I find joy in coaching my son's football team, indulging in my love for cooking, and teaching product design on the side. Above all, I love being a dad. My wife, Aliza Simons, is a 39-year-old, devoted stay-at-home mom who pours her heart into raising our family. She excels at crafting activities for kids, always coming up with creative ways to engage and inspire their imaginations. Aliza also has a passion for photography, capturing the beauty in everyday moments. In addition to being a loving mother, she finds great joy in teaching Sunday school, dedicating her weekends to nurturing and guiding young children in their spiritual growth. Together, we have a vibrant 9-year-old son named Judah and a lively 3-year-old Wheaten Terrier named Gus.

Our Wonderful Son, Judah:

Judah is the heart and soul of our family. He’s an energetic, joyful 9-year-old who loves playing tackle football, soccer, chess, board games, and video games. He spends hours outdoors, riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, and playing tag with friends. Judah is also an incredibly caring and compassionate big brother figure, always looking out for younger children and striving to be a positive role model.

Our Journey Through Loss and Love:

While our family has been filled with much love and joy, we’ve also faced deep sorrow. After Judah's birth, we experienced the heartbreaking loss of three miscarriages. We also went through a failed IVF treatment, which added to our emotional and financial strain. Most recently, we lost our expected son, Asher, in March due to stillbirth. These losses have been devastating, but they’ve also strengthened our desire to grow our family. Through it all, we’ve held on to the hope of one day welcoming a child into our hearts through adoption.

Our Dream to Adopt:

Despite the heartache we’ve endured, our dream of expanding our family has remained unwavering. This journey holds special significance for us because Aliza herself was adopted. She understands firsthand the profound impact of a loving adoptive family, and this deepens our commitment to providing the same love and security to a child in need. We are eager to open our hearts and home to a child, to love and nurture them as our own.
