Hello. My name is Melody Protasio and I am starting this go-fund me page to help my dear friend, Brian Shaffer-Wicks and his family. Brian's spouse, Ed has suffered a severe medical emergency and is in critical care. Unfortunately, Brian has been notified that he has suffered irreparable brain damage and comfort care is the next step they will be taking to ensure his peaceful passing. They are the parents of three beautiful children who are the light of Ed's life. Ed is currently the sole breadwinner for the family so not only are they shocked with these sudden medical expenses and ultimately funeral arrangements, but now having to struggle with the financial hardships that are to come without Ed's income.
