Help 4 yr old Zeina, 8 yr old Isaam, & their family survive!
Donation protected
Hello everyone. This is an urgent fundraiser to bring Mohammad Abu Rabea’s (law student, 24) family: father (57), mother (48), brother (14), brother (35), his brother’s wife (30) and their three children (10 year old Hala, 8 year old Isaam, and 4 year old Zeina) from Gaza (Deir al-Balah refugee area) to safety in Egypt. The harsh living conditions, borderline starvation, continual bombardment, and constant fear continue to be unbearable, and conditions get worse day by the day. Mohammad feels as if the children are beginning to show bad psychological symptoms. We are hopeful that we can raise $56,650 to cover the border crossing permit payments for nine (9), living and health expenses for a few months (they lost everything), and give them a start in their new life.
I continue to be amazed at Mohammad's strong ability to provide psychological support to those where he volunteers with the hardships of this war. I know that getting his family to safety will provide some deserved peace. He sent me a recording of the scarey sounds that they hear every night and, all I could do is bow my head in reflection. I look forward to their safe evacuation.
Thanks, in advance, for your heartfelt consideration and donation.
From the bottom of my heart,
Lisa

##
Below are Mohammad’s words.
I am Mohammad Abu Rabea, 24 years old, from the Gaza Strip. I am a student in the College of Law in my graduation year. I volunteer during this war in the fields of entertainment and psychological support for children and families in shelter centers. I worked in most of the centers in the city of Deir al-Balah over the course of 5 months and made several effective interventions. The toll of the war is severely impacting my family and we live in constant fear. Before this war, my father worked on his farm as a farmer and my mother owned a kindergarten, but unfortunately our farm and my mother’s kindergarten were destroyed due to the Israeli invasion of eastern Deir al-Balah, and we have not been able to reach that area yet due to the tanks being there.
We have not been able to get back to it because it is a completely evacuated area.
**Pictures of our family's farm from years ago. It has been completely destroyed. My father grew eggplants, zucchinis, and other crops.
We do not have any current pictures because that area is completely evacuated.
Sadly, my parents lose their business every few years due to wars and the proximity of our farm to the border. My mother recently opened a kindergarten in that area, but the roof of the building collapsed and there were shells in the walls, and all of her furniture, books, and other things were burned and stolen. They have grown old now. We also have 4 children, each of whom has a talent, ambition, and dream. All of this ended during this period. The war and we, like most people, began to search for solutions and we ended up deciding to leave Gaza and start again abroad. Therefore, I decided to create this campaign with the aim of bringing my family out of death and starting a new, peaceful life. I hope to reach the desired goal as soon as possible to begin the travel procedures, which is very expensive.

Where the money would go:
~$45,000 ($5,000 X 9 individuals) for the Rafah crossing permits to get into Egypt.
~$10,000 for living/health expenses (rent, food, check-ups, basic necessities, etc as they lost everything) for a few months to help them restart their life.
~ $1,650 to cover the 3% deducted GoFundMe fees
Total: $56,650
**Mohammad's sister is in Egypt for medical school so the money will be sent to her to secure the border crossing permits. I will provide updates including receipts to ensure full transparency. As the war entered its 5th month, Mohammad asked me to help bring the family to safety.
