Hope and Joy for Vulnerable Children in Uganda

My name is Zarry, I am the founder of the not-for-profit Zee Foundation in Uganda. Zee supports 50 orphans in the equatorial towns of Kyankwanzi and Busunju.

We knock down the barriers that prevent kids from receiving education, healthcare, and holistic development. It starts by providing living facilities, food, water, and access to schooling and medicine. The kids are under our round-the-clock care.

Hundreds of other abandoned children are seeking access to Zee Foundation resources as well. That's where you come in! We rely 100% on your generosity. We can't support our kids - or take in any new kids - without your help!.

About our kids. Most of our kids are 5-18. Most have lost one or both parents, or are abandoned or neglected. We also work with disabled children, children with HIV/AIDS, and those from severely poverty-stricken homes.

About Uganda. Uganda is facing a humanitarian crisis in the post-Covid era. The pandemic and constant lockdowns increased the rate and risk of school dropouts and sexual gender-based violence among children. The result has been high incidences of teenage pregnancies, early marriages, teen drug abuse, and suicide.

About our work. Thanks to your generous donations, we were recently able to drill a bore hole in Kyankwanze. So now the children have access to clean water for drinking and hygiene. Seven schoolkids are now learning vocational skills in tailoring, beauty and cosmetology, motor vehicle engineering, and electrical installation.

About Me. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Nkumba University and have been counseling children and their families for more than eight years. I love kids and envision a world where orphans and vulnerable children can live hopeful, respectful, and dignified lives.
