Our dear friend Chéri McKenzie, her parents Kelly and Darrell, her brother Juste, and their dog Hercules, safely evacuated but lost their home due to the Eaton Fire in Altadena.

They have lost the majority of their belongings, their two vehicles, and the entirety of their house. Their family was in the process of remodeling their home and building a garden, all of which was lost. As proud members of the Altadena community, they are also grieving the loss of their neighborhood. They are currently displaced and staying with family.

The McKenzie family is incredibly hardworking. They have always welcomed people into their home and are always willing to lend a helping hand. We are devastated that such a caring family is going through such tragedy.

All funds raised will go towards any unexpected costs in order to alleviate some financial burden as they begin to get back on their feet.
