Help the Maverick Marshalls Make History at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championship!

The Maverick Marshalls 17 & Under boys’ volleyball team is about to make history. In a groundbreaking achievement, they will become the first team from Maverick Volleyball Club to compete at the USA Volleyball (USAV) National Championship in the Open Division, the highest level of competition. The tournament will be held in Minneapolis, MN from July 3-6, 2025.

The Marshalls’ hard work, resilience, talent and heart has now distinguished them as one of the best teams in North America. The Open Division is the highest level of competition and is limited to the top 36 teams for each age and gender group from across the United States. Many of these students go on to play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and some even play on the US Olympic team. This marks a major milestone for Ottawa volleyball and for the Maverick Volleyball Club who are celebrating their 40th anniversary as Ottawa’s largest youth volleyball club.

Coming from all corners of Ottawa, this dedicated group of young athletes showcases the strength that diversity brings to a winning team. Under the guidance of Head Coach Evan Lockwood, a former NCAA Division I volleyball player, they are training intensely to compete in the championship.

But now, we need your help to make this dream a reality!

Our Goal: $50,000

This incredible opportunity comes with significant financial challenges. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to cover essential expenses, including:

- Airfare – Getting our team to Minneapolis

- Hotel Accommodations – A place to rest and recharge

- Incidentals – New jerseys, transportation, and meals

Every donation, big or small, helps these hardworking athletes take the court and represent Canada on the biggest stage.
