The Braiddown Bar is growing, and this expansion means so much to me because, for the first time, I feel like I will have enough space to truly scale the business into everything I’ve envisioned it becoming. An unexpected opportunity to expand our space within our current Decatur location came up, and while taking on additional space isn’t simple or easy, I couldn’t ignore how perfectly it aligns with where the business is headed. Throughout this journey, God has consistently made a way for me to acquire what I need exactly when I need it, and this opportunity feels no different.

I’m currently in cosmetology school, and once I become licensed, having a larger space will be essential for the next phase of The Braiddown Bar. My vision has always been bigger than braiding. I want to create opportunities for beauty professionals, expand our educational programs, provide more services to our clients, and continue building a business that serves both our community and our industry. This expansion gives us the room to grow into that vision.

The space itself has already been secured. However, because this expansion was not originally planned, I am raising funds to furnish and equip the new area with styling stations, seating, storage, equipment, and client amenities. The additional space will allow us to add five more styling stations, increase appointment availability, create more opportunities for Braid Tenders, and continue growing The Braiddown Bar Academy. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us build a space that serves more clients, supports more braiders, and creates more opportunities within our community.
