Help the Alhayek family start fresh in Canada

Salam all!

My name is Mariam Assaf and if you’re reading this I want to ask for your help in raising some funds to help my brother in laws and their families restart their life in Canada. After the attacks on G@za, my in-laws have lost their homes and all of their belongings and were forced to relocate to a tent in Al Zuwayda. For months they struggled with food and water and getting money to them was nearly impossible unless we had an inside connection. For days we would lose contact not knowing whats happening to my husband’s family, dreading the night and praying they’ll make it out alive. We then helped his family flee from G@za to 3gypt. They have been living there for months unsure of what the future holds. My sil has applied for them to get an emergency family visa in Canada and they have finally been approved from a lottery base. After losing their home and all belongings they have a new start at life. I’m trying to raise funds to help their children have a brighter future. One where they can wake up and sleep without the thought of death at every waking moment. The trauma these kids have endured and don’t even know it yet, is heartbreaking. With the funds I’m hoping that we can cover travel expenses from Egypt to Canada for 11 members (his 2 brothers, their wives, and children). With the additional funds raised, we hope to help them with the first 3 months for living costs such as rent, food, and other necessities. During this time they can search for jobs without having to worry about financial burdens. Unfortunately Canada will not give them any government help until they live there for a minimum of 18 months. We hope to get them safely to Canada asap so they can find work, apartments and a good school for their children before the start of the new school year.
