WHO ARE SAPPHIRE?

Sapphire are a Pom Dance team of girls aged twelve to fifteen, based at Lincolnshire Cheer and Dance Academy (LCDA) in Grantham. In August 2025, they competed in an Incredibly Cool Event (ICE) Dance competition and received a bid to the Allstar Worlds in Florida in April 2026.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Sapphire are making history as the first ever dance team from LCDA to gain a bid for a Worlds International Competition. Bids aren’t given freely; they are awarded to exceptional athletes who have displayed that they have what it takes to compete in the USA and at the highest level in the challenge for the World Champion title! The USA is the home of cheerleading and Pom style dance. For any athlete in this incredible team of eight, the prosect of competing in America was a dream ……. UNTIL NOW! This team of dedicated athletes and coaches have an abundance of talent, charisma and sparkle but sadly these qualities do not fund this unforgettable lifetime experience.
