With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Steve Brusell. He left us the morning of April 11th after a courageous fight with cancer — a battle he met daily with the same steady heart he brought to everything in life.

If you crossed paths with Steve, even once, you were better for it. He was one of those rare people who made everyone feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Steve was a devoted father to 4 daughters and a loving husband. He was deeply involved in his kids' lives, always showing up with unwavering support and love. He was their rock, their coach, their hero.

To us, his extended family of friends and the cannabis community he helped shape, Steve was a Genuine soul. He was Loyal. The kind of guy you trusted instantly. The kind of man who meant it when he said he cared.

Steve also leaves behind his loving wife, Jen, who stood by his side through every moment of his battle. With Steve’s support, Jen was able to be a stay-at-home mom — fully present for their daughters and for him. When Steve became ill, Jen put everything on hold to care for him full-time. She must now figure out how to provide for her family without the man who made that possible. She’s not just grieving — she’s starting over.

We are rallying to support the family Steve leaves behind. As the sole provider, his passing has created both emotional and financial challenges. This fundraiser will help cover medical, funeral, and living expenses that will support his loved ones as they navigate this heartbreaking transition.
